We are venture-backed and own a patented washable rug design that's disrupting the home décor industry. Our mission is to empower our customers to live vibrantly with beautiful products that don't compromise on function. If you're passionate about consumer products, e-commerce, and high-growth start-ups, keep reading!
Job Summary:
Ruggable is seeking a dynamic Manager of Wholesale Operations (Player Coach) to lead the end-to-end execution of our new and existing retail launches. In this hybrid "player-coach" role, you will not only define the executional strategy and mentor a growing team, but you will also roll up your sleeves to actively manage key accounts and execute daily operational tasks.
Your primary focus will be bridging the gap between our manufacturing floors and the retail floors of major big-box retailers, specifically Costco, Target, and Walmart. You will ensure that every product launch is seamless, compliant with stringent retailer guidelines, and optimized for maximum sell-through.
What You'll Do:
End-to-End Retail Launch Execution (The Player)
  • Project Management: Lead the flawless execution of new textile product launches, from post-sale onboarding to on-shelf placement at Costco, Target, and Walmart
  • Retailer Compliance: Master and navigate the specific vendor portals, routing guides, and EDI requirements for large-scale retailers (e.g., Retail Link, Partners Online)
  • Supply Chain Liaison: Partner directly with our internal manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure accurate forecasting, allocation, and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery
  • Merchandising & Display: Coordinate the physical rollout of point-of-purchase (POP) displays, endcaps, and packaging specs unique to the textile category and specific retailer demands
  • Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for any operational bottlenecks, inventory discrepancies, or shipping delays during the launch phase

Leadership & Team Development (The Coach)
  • Process Optimization: Establish best-in-class Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for retail launches, creating a repeatable playbook that your team can execute
  • Performance Management: Set clear KPIs for the retail ops team focused on compliance, launch timelines, and inventory accuracy
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Foster a collaborative environment between Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure the team is unified around launch goals

What You'll Need to Have:
Required:
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in Wholesale/Retail Operations, Supply Chain, or Key Account Management within the Consumer Goods and/or CPG industries
  • Specific Retailer Expertise: MUST HAVE direct, hands-on experience executing product launches and managing daily operations with Costco, Target, and Walmart
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the textile manufacturing industry (e.g., bedding, apparel, home goods, fabrics) is highly preferred
  • Systems Proficiency: Deep understanding of major retailer vendor portals and EDI integrations
  • Leadership Style: Proven ability to thrive in a "player-coach" capacity-comfortable delegating and strategizing one minute, and pulling data reports or fixing routing errors the next
  • Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and robust data analysis capabilities (Advanced Excel/ERP systems experience)

Compensation:
  • $110,000 - $135,000 per year base salary
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
