We're excited to grow our Transportation team with the addition of a Transportation Design Project Manager; a strategic role for professionals passionate about planning, coordinating, designing and delivering transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) standards and requirements.
In this role, you will work closely with Heidi Schwarz, PE, Project Manager, and collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project execution, code review and evaluations, specification writing, visualization, and construction administration. You'll lead projects that align with WisDOT guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality while driving innovative solutions for our clients.

Essential Duties
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ISG and clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and positive communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations
  • Translate client objectives into actionable plans and deadlines for the project team, promoting contextual design thinking and exploring alternative solutions
  • Lead regulatory coordination and oversee planning, design, and technical execution to ensure deliverables exceed client expectations
  • Act as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on transportation projects
  • Serve as a mentor and leader for local internal ISGers that demonstrates a high degree of professionalism
  • Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Proven track record in budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in developing proposals, defining scopes of work, and preparing accurate fee estimates
  • PE licensed, preferred
