Network Engineer, TS/SCI with a CI Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Chantilly, VA
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join the team in Chantilly, VA. The qualified Network Engineer must have an active TS/SCI with a CI Polygraph security clearance. This position is 100% Onsite and not open for Remote.
Network Engineer Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support an organization's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Number Resource Organization (NRO) Internet Network, Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network systems.
- Maintain network hardware and software.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Oversee network control centers.
- Provide support to projects that involve networks.
- Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.
- Plan new network configurations and integration into existing networks to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure that plans for hardware and communications are adequate.
- Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation, and support of voice communications systems.
- Provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
- May supervise other network support and client server specialist and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
Network Engineer Qualifications:
- Experience with Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Number Resource Organization (NRO) Internet - Network, Intranet, and Internet.
- Experience with Network hardware and software.
- Experience with Network Control Centers, telecommunications, and network security.
