Job description

Our Next Energy (ONE) is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Director, Supply Chain to lead global supply chain operations supporting the development and manufacturing of advanced energy storage systems. This leader will be responsible for building a resilient, scalable, and cost-competitive supply chain capable of supporting rapid company growth and high-volume production. The Senior Director of Supply Chain will play a critical role in enabling ONE's mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy by building a world-class supply chain capable of supporting large-scale battery manufacturing and global deployment of energy storage technologies.
The Senior Director will oversee strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier development, materials planning, logistics, and supply chain risk management for critical components including lithium-ion materials, electronics, mechanical systems, and contract manufacturing partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Supply Chain Management
  • Develop and execute ONE's global supply chain strategy aligned with company growth and manufacturing scale plans.
  • Build a resilient supplier ecosystem capable of supporting battery cell, pack, and energy storage system production.
  • Lead long-term sourcing strategies for critical materials including lithium, cathode/anode materials, electronics, and structural components.
  • Establish supply chain risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, geographic diversification, and strategic inventory planning.

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and commercial agreements for strategic suppliers.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through should-cost analysis, strategic negotiations, and supplier collaboration.
  • Implement structured sourcing processes including RFQs, supplier scorecards, and cost transparency programs.
  • Partner with Engineering on design-for-supply-chain (DFSC) initiatives to reduce cost and complexity.

Supplier Development & Quality Collaboration
  • Work with Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure suppliers meet ONE's quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish supplier performance management frameworks including cost, delivery, and quality metrics.
  • Lead supplier development initiatives to improve capability and capacity at strategic suppliers

Materials Planning & Logistics
  • Build and scale materials planning and S&OP processes to support production ramp
  • Optimize global logistics networks to reduce cost and lead time while ensuring supply continuity
  • Implement advanced supply planning tools an ERP-driven capabilities

Program & Product Launch Support
  • Partner with Program Management and Engineering to support new product introductions (NPI)
  • Ensure supply readiness for prototype builds, pilot production, and full manufacturing ramp
  • Manage supplier readiness and capacity planning for major product launches

Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
  • Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels while maintaining supply continuity
  • Improve supply chain visibility and demand forecasting accuracy
  • Partner with Finance to manage supply chain cost structure and working capital efficiency

Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing supply chain organization including sourcing, procurement, planning, and logistics
  • Develop talent and leadership bench strength within the supply chain organization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement

Sustainability & Compliance
  • Implement responsible sourcing practices aligned with ESG commitments and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations including ITAR, export controls, and critical materials sourcing regulations
  • Support supplier sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction and responsible mineral sourcing

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
  • Strategic sourcing and global procurement
  • Supplier development and supplier quality integration
  • Battery materials supply chain (preferred)
  • ERP / MRP systems and advanced planning tools
  • Contract negotiation and commercial strategy
  • Risk management and supply continuity planning

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree, Business Administration
  • 5+ years leading global supply chain teams
  • Experience in EV, battery, automotive, energy storage, or advanced manufacturing industries
  • Demonstrated success scaling supply chains in high-growth or start-up manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing global supplier networks and complex technical sourcing
