Job Summary

The Executive Director, Strategy & Operations will lead the Strategy & Operations organization for Comcast Government Services (CGS), serving as a key member of the Federal leadership team responsible for driving operational excellence, business planning, growth enablement, customer portfolio management, and execution governance across the business. This leader will oversee critical functions including Sales Enablement, Market Development, Base Management, Program Operations, Sales Support, and strategic margin optimization initiatives.
Partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, Contract Management, Security, Finance, IT, and Corporate stakeholders, the Executive Director will ensure alignment between strategic priorities and operational execution while driving scalability, customer retention, financial performance, and business growth. The role is responsible for establishing the operational framework, governance processes, performance metrics, and organizational capabilities necessary to support Comcast Government Services' continued expansion within the Federal market.
This leader will oversee a multi-functional organization focused on improving sales effectiveness, customer lifecycle management, operational readiness, program execution, account governance, and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic leadership, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable business outcomes and enhance the overall performance of the Federal business.
An existing Federal Government security clearance is preferred. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic and operational roadmap for Comcast Government Services, ensuring alignment between business priorities, organizational capabilities, and growth objectives.

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary organization responsible for Sales Enablement, Market Development, Base Management, Program Operations, Sales Support, and customer lifecycle management functions.

  • Drive operational excellence through effective governance, performance management, forecasting, planning, and execution oversight across the Federal business.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, dashboards, operational metrics, and governance processes that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee customer portfolio management, renewal readiness, account governance, operational reporting, and business planning activities to maximize customer retention and long-term growth.

  • Partner closely with Federal Sales leadership to improve opportunity readiness, sales effectiveness, customer experience, and execution discipline throughout the customer lifecycle.

  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on scalability, process standardization, organizational effectiveness, and margin optimization, including on-net migration programs and other operational transformation efforts.

  • Ensure operational priorities are balanced against customer needs, financial objectives, and overall business performance goals.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks, resolve complex business challenges, and drive successful outcomes.

  • Provide executive oversight for order intake, operational readiness, customer onboarding, project governance, service implementation support, and program execution activities.

  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Security, IT, Contract Management, and Corporate organizations to support strategic business objectives.

  • Lead, coach, and develop leaders and team members across multiple functional disciplines, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Exercise sound judgment and strategic decision-making on matters of significant business impact.

Virginia Pay Range: $209,718.68 - $314,578.02This job can be performed in Maryland with a Pay Range of $191,482.27 - $314,578.02Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
