Job description

Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:

1. Assist and support Resident Directors and Resident Assistants in the implementation of the Community Learning Plan (CLP).

2. Support Resident Director in the management of Resident Assistants in the living area to ensure they are upholding the standards of their position as outlined for university student leaders.

3. Monitor physical condition of the living area and communicates with residents about repairs and preventative maintenance to the building.

4. Collaborate with Housing Operations to manage resident check-in and check-out and assist with room changes throughout the year.

5. Assist, confront, and intercede in community standard violations and emergency situations as they arise in the living area. Provides appropriate written and verbal behavioral data relevant to administering guidance, support, and/or discipline, and reports/refers to supervisors and Student Conduct Staff.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist the mentor Resident Director with the supervision of Resident Assistants and other student employees, as needed to maintain the smooth operation of the living area.

Experience/ Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in Student Affairs or other related experience
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.
