Role Specificsย ย
- Work Location:ย Remote, USย ย
- Travel:ย 5% (The percentage of travel is an estimation, and it could vary up or down based on business needs throughout the year.)ย
- Compensation Structure:ย In addition to the base salary listed below,ย this role is eligible for a bonus/commission plan.
- Reporting Structure:ย This role reports to the Director, Sales Development.ย

ย What You Will Ownย ย
- Research accounts and contacts-primarily in the higher education and student property markets-to understand roles, challenges, and goalsย ย
- Craft and send personalized prospecting emails to engage ideal customersย ย
- Make outbound phone calls and build rapport with prospective customersย ย
- Utilize Salesforce, HubSpot, cold calling, social media, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email, and referrals to connect with potential leadsย ย
- Set up meetings or calls between qualified prospects and Account Executivesย ย
- Understand StarRez products, solutions, value propositions, and customer pain pointsย ย
- Overcome objections and stay informed on competitive offerings and market trendsย ย
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Enablement teams to align on outreach strategies and messagingย ย
- Meet or exceed monthly goals for pipeline generation, bookings sourced, and outreach activityย ย
- Report regularly to Sales leadership on progress through weekly and monthly updates, team meetings, and huddlesย ย
- Identifyย opportunities to improve tools, suggestย new technologies, and refine workflows to increase resultsย ย
- Continuously update your outreach approach, experimenting with new tactics to drive performanceย ย
Required Qualificationsย ย
- Interest in sales or customer-facing rolesย ย
- Strong verbal and written communication skillsย ย
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging via email and social channelsย ย
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in a remote settingย ย
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and meet deadlinesย ย
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)ย ย
- Coachable, eager to learn, and open to feedbackย ย
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindsetย ย
Preferred Qualificationsย ย
- Experience in higher education or student housing environmentsย ย
- 1+ year in B2B sales, cold calling, or lead generationย ย
- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, and/or Gongย
- Exposure to StarRez software or similar platformsย ย
- Understanding of the student lifecycle or PropTech industryย ย
- Process-driven and structured in your workย ย
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or sales engagement toolsย ย
- Experienceย leveragingย AI-powered tools to enhance prospecting, research, outreach, and efficiencyย
