Job description

Location: Houston, Texas (onsite)

Reports to: Supervisor Operational Engineering

Collaborates with: Engineering, Sales, Production

Primary Responsibility: Provide modeling, sales, and fabrication drawings for MIRATECH product lines.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete 3D SolidWorks model modifications for made-to-order MIRATECH products.
  • Create Submittal and Dimensional drawings for sales support.
  • Create production and assembly drawings for fabrication.
  • Dimensional verification and quality control of finished drawings.
  • Continuous focus on cost reductions in design and fabrication by working with the production group.
  • Understand fabrication design techniques and the cost impact of design assembly drawings and materials.
  • Communicate thoroughly and regularly to establish a warm working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You:

  • Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering from an accredited technical school, college or university.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks modeling and drawing creation; sheet metal experience a plus.
  • Prefer 2 (+) years of direct industrial, engineering, or production drafting and support experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • SOLIDWORKS CSWP or CSWE preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently to produce high-caliber deliverables in a short time frame.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
