CAD Designer / Mechanical Design TechnicianDesign Solutions That Get Built.

Are you a SolidWorks expert who enjoys seeing your designs become real products? Commercial Sewing is looking for a CAD Designer / Mechanical Design Technician to create production-ready designs, improve manufacturing processes, and support engineering projects from start to finish.

This position combines engineering design, manufacturing support, and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities
  • Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
  • Apply GD&T principles and engineering standards
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids
  • Review products for manufacturability and assembly efficiency
  • Support prototype development and production implementation
  • Create engineering documentation and work instructions
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain engineering records and revisions
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 5-7 years of CAD and manufacturing experience
  • Advanced SolidWorks skills preferred
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles
  • Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting abilities
