The Development Director will report directly to the Head of Development while working closely with the CDO, CEO, and other key departments including Marketing, Production, and Administration. This role requires professionalism, optimism, and ease in engaging with high-net-worth individuals, along with the drive to demonstrate consistent progress and results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with new and existing donors through multiple channels, with significant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for calls, emails, appointments, solicitations, and revenue growth
  • Personally qualify current online donors to identify high-capacity supporters, while also actively prospecting for new donor opportunities
  • Maintain accurate donor records in CRM to ensure effective stewardship and track funds raised
  • Build and manage strong donor relationships at PragerU events and represent the organization at external events
  • Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials as needed
  • Collaborate with the in-house development team, including data, events, and fellow fundraisers, to support fundraising strategies
  • Stay informed on fundraising trends and best practices within the nonprofit community

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or sales/business development (highly preferred)
  • Comfort level and the ability to thrive in a high-volume calling environment
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions
  • Strong alignment with PragerU's principles and conservative values
  • Experience with fundraising CRM software preferred
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to act as an ambitious self-starter, uphold high ethical standards, and demonstrate familiarity with PragerU's content, presenters, and worldview
  • Excellent time management skills with flexibility in handling varied job responsibilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20-25% of the time
  • Familiarity with the digital ecosystem and social media channels
  • Must understand how to build and cultivate long-term relationships

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $110,000 - $150,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data.
