Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Part-Time F-16 Instructor Pilot to deliver realistic adversary air tactics training in support of Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) aircrews. Based at Homestead ARB, this role involves employing advanced red-air tactics in the F-16 Mission and Tactics Trainer (MTT), supporting simulated engagements, mission planning, and high-fidelity training exercises. You will also contribute subject matter expertise in tactics, simulator operations, and debriefing processes to directly enhance pilot combat readiness

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Simulate red-air tactics using the F-16 MTT, including digital cockpit controls and threat system emulation
  • Operate simulator consoles and execute debriefs during and after missions
  • Serve as Mission Director or Red Czar depending on scenario requirements
  • Provide subject matter expertise on air tactics, mission planning, and training objectives
  • Coordinate with Weapons Officers and Instructor Pilots (IPs) to craft accurate, effective, and threat-representative scenarios
  • Develop and refine mission-planning materials, simulator academics, and training products
  • Support scenario execution, event orchestration, and constructive inputs to maximize training value
  • Report and support basic troubleshooting of simulation software issues
  • Supervise small teams during AFRC operational events as required

What you must have
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master's degree and 13+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Associate's degree and 17+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • High school diploma/equivalent and 19+ years of relevant experience

Operational Requirements
  • Current or former F-16 pilot
  • Ability to average 20 hours per week in a part-time capacity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site with flexibility for morning and evening training shifts

Security Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have a current or active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, or the ability to obtain and maintain one

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as an Instructor Pilot (IP) or Flight Evaluator
  • Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Weapons School
  • Active DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Physical Requirements
