Job description

We're looking for a driven, organized Service Operations Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone to one of our service department client. This is not an entry-level role — we need someone who can step in, take charge, and proactively improve systems with minimal ramp-up time. You'll be a key point of coordination for field technicians, vendors, customers, and internal teams. Competitive hourly pay: $28 – $35 depending on experience schedule is Monday to Friday.



Job Duties:

  • Handle customer inquiries, schedule service appointments, and keep customers updated on repair status and estimates
  • Manage repair order paperwork, review work orders, and generate accurate quotes
  • Coordinate technician scheduling to maximize efficiency across multiple simultaneous service calls
  • Source parts from vendors and manufacturers; maintain accurate inventory to prevent job delays
  • Research warranty coverage, process claims, and track repair worksheets for reporting
  • Prepare and submit permit applications; monitor permit statuses to keep projects on track
  • Support project tracking and installation timelines; assist with vendor coordination
  • Track company fleet records — registrations, inspections, oil changes, and maintenance schedules
  • Monitor job durations and technician travel to identify inefficiencies and improve scheduling
  • Proactively identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements


Qualifications:

What we're looking for

  • Experience coordinating service operations in generator, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, construction, or related trades industries
  • Familiarity with standby generators, electrical systems, service dispatching, and warranty processes is a strong plus
