MUST-HAVES

  • 2+ years experience with Node, MongoDB or Coffeescript
  • 3+ years JavaScript experience
  • 1+ years experience working in a Test Driven Environment
  • Strong background with data structures and algorithms (CS/Mathematics deg)

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • 1+ year experience with Twilio, Yodlee and Plaid APIs
  • Experience shipping to production in a test driven environment
  • 2+ years experience working on consumer focused app or product
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment
  • Experience w/ css to heroku/AWS and everything in between
  • Passion for personal savings and idea's to innovate personal finance
  • Polyglot - ability to program w/ multiple frameworks and languages.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our full stack engineers are expected to work across our tech stack. You'll work on a functional team either geared towards a feature (Digit Savings) or discipline (front end, infrastructure) . We envision someone who is creative, dedicated, and passionate about what Digit is doing, can ship to production, write tests and work in a Coffeescript, Node, MongoDB environment. We don't require experience with our stack but hope to find someone eager to learn.

We do require people who have shipped significant features to production and worked both individually as well as on teams. You should feel confident with data structures and algorithms. We often solve problems w/ math and, at times, non-traditional means. Please be curious, experienced and someone who will challenge traditional ways to figure out the best solutions for a unique problem.

We work on teams of owners partnering with product, design, and other stakeholders. Your job will be focused on scaling, building, and developing new/existing features to Digit's user base. You'll work across our entire stack and pair across the entire engineering team. Our culture allows all team members to focus on ambitious top line goals without an overload of points in pivotal, KPIs, OKRs and other metrics that haunt creativity. We're incredibly lean and don't put reporting, lots of process or any red tape in front of shipping amazing product.
