Currently, we are seeking aย Simulation Test Engineer to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment,ย contributing toย the design and execution ofย Simulationย testย processes and plans to ensure they meet rigorous performance, safety, and compliance requirements. This roleย is responsible forย guidingย softwareย verification activitiesย in accordance withย aerospace standards, managing test processes, and collaborating with the development teams toย validateย embedded and mission-critical systems. Theย Simulationย Test Lead ensures all test efforts contribute to the overall system safety and reliability goalsย of Lunar Outpost.ย

  • Design and implement the software test strategy forย simulationsย supporting space robotic missionsย 
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and documentation to support verification and validation efforts aligned with space-grade software practicesย 
  • Build outย initialย test environments including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and continuous integration systemsย 
  • Collaborate closely with software, systems, and hardware teams to ensure traceability from requirementsย and standardsย to test coverageย 
  • Contribute to risk assessments and support faultย injection, failure mode testing, and resilience validationย 
  • Evaluate and introduce automation frameworks andย toolingย suited to the space robotics domain.ย 
  • Promoteย a culture of testing excellence and quality-focused development in a fast-paced,ย agileย environmentย 
  • Coordinate with other Integrate Product Teamsย during design forย ensuring testability of designย 
  • Generate andย maintainย Verification and Validation Matrices
  • Facilitateย and organize software product certification
  • Coordinate with System Level Integration & Test Teams
  • Coordinate andย interact with customers


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree inย computer science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in software testing
  • Experience testingย simulation basedย products, space systems, or safety-critical environments
  • Familiarity with verification frameworks for high-reliability software
  • Proficiencyย with test tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and systems engineering principles
  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet criticalย deadlines
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Hands-on experience with robotic systems, spacecraft avionics, or autonomous controls

  • Experience withย testing in aย cloud-basedย environments
