Job description

Are you looking for a great opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges with real-world impact? We are the Robotics and Applied Intelligence team. We design, deploy, and execute robotic testing solutions to drive system quality for new Apple products, focusing on Vision products.
In this role, you'll develop automated systems that integrate robotics, electrical, and software components, with enhanced use of AI, to directly impact the performance and quality of devices used by millions of customers worldwide. The work demands creative problem-solving at the intersection of robotics and consumer electronics testing.
We're seeking a motivated engineer with strong robotics, programming, and problem-solving skills. You'll work with our diverse and multidisciplinary group of engineers across different organizations at Apple to develop sophisticated automated test fixtures and robotics solutions that ensure our world-changing products meet the exceptional quality standards our customers expect.

Description
As part of a diverse team, you will design, build, and scale robotic automation solutions to test Apple products, ensuring their outstanding quality before they reach customers!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems (e.g. microcontrollers, sensors, actuators) to build automated solutions.
Proficient in Python coding and debugging.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, and usage of CAD.
Fundamentals in robotics field with prior experience of using robot arms.
Experience in debugging and troubleshooting complex mechatronic and software systems.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate. Clear and precise communication skills.
Analytical, disciplined, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience designing and working with electronic circuits, and troubleshooting electronic signals for mechatronic solutions.
Experience with advanced automation technologies such as computer vision (OpenCV), AI/ML applications, and/or applied mathematics for robotics (e.g. linear algebra, transformation matrices, kinematics).
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices.
Meticulous attention to detail and skilled at balancing multiple projects in parallel without impacting the quality of deliverables.
Experience using and/or creating AI tools for development or robotic applications.
