Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Timely and accurate submission of employee administrative paperwork
  • Create and control budgets along with time and attendance submissions
  • Control labor costs
  • Constantly forecast capital for immediate and future needs
  • Oversees contractors for facilities renovation projects and supervises construction, equipment installation, renovation, and redesigning projects
  • Work with vendors, contractors on purchases and agreements holding down operating costs down
  • Ensure Facilities Department personnel are properly trained to use handheld tools, electrical tools, motorized vehicles and their associated equipment, ladders, lifts and etc.
  • Director position is hands on and is required to work with Facilities Department personnel and at times may be required to work unaccompanied
  • Director will hold monthly documented Risk Management Safety Meetings with all personnel
  • Direct, supervise and schedule the Facilities Department personnel on all mechanical and electrical plant preventative maintenance including but not limited to: Weekly, Monthly and Annual preventative maintenance per manufacture recommendations
  • Manage, supervise, and schedule the Facilities Department personnel on risk management tasks and all cosmetic repairs throughout the property including all public and employee areas inside and outside the structures
  • Complete a weekly Facilities Department status report on all pertinent items completed or addressed for the Reno Area General Managers and Corporate Director of Facilities
  • Work with all departments on their needs and complete work orders professionally and judiciously
  • Identifies and corrects inefficiencies and problems in a timely manner

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret building codes including UBC, Fire, Mechanical and Electrical
  • Must have strong communication skills including narrative reporting
  • Must be able to use the computer and plant management system
  • Ability to open and read CAD files and understand construction drawings including structural, mechanical, electrical, low voltage and utility site drawings
  • Have excellent working knowledge of major plant mechanical and electrical equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Must have High School Diploma and Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree or eight years hands on experience of building plant operation and maintenance
  • Must have four years of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Manager experience in the hotel/casino industry.
  • Must have valid NV driver's license
