Summary of Position

The Sales Director, Reproductive & Womenโ€™s Health is responsible for the overall health and performance of the assigned region. In partnership with the Regional Vice President, you are responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies based on opportunity analysis and reviewing results from business analytics. You are responsible for meeting your regionโ€™s sales goals and quotas, creating and maintaining a Regional Business Plan, analyzing data, creating and managing your regionโ€™s data in the Salesforce CRM, completing assigned sales and company training, and overall maintenance and growth of your region. You must be well informed about Fulgentโ€™s service menu and associated science, the markets in which they serve, and therefore be able to accurately forecast sales predictions, shifts in the marketplace, understand the competitive landscape, and review potential product improvements and development with your manager. As Sales Director, Reproductive & Womenโ€™s Health, you will serve as a field advisor to your immediate manager. You must possess an entrepreneurial drive to own the territory as if the role is an independent franchisee of Fulgent Genetics, being responsible for the overall profit and loss of the region.

  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the capabilities of Fulgent's cutting-edge genetic testing solutions across reproductive health, womenโ€™s health, oncology, and rare disease.
  • Possess the scientific and technical aptitude required to deliver technical presentations, participate in scientific discussions, seminars, and webinars, and deliver product demonstrations.
QualificationsKnowledge/Experience
  • BS or MS degree with a minimum of two years of successful genetic testing sales experience
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with sales experience specifically in the prenatal and womenโ€™s health market
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a BS or MS degree in the life sciences
  • A verifiable record of sales accomplishments spanning at least three (3) years that shows competency in meeting sales goals, negotiations, and selling to customer needs.
  • Strong experience calling on OB/GYN, Childrenโ€™s Hospitals, and academic institutions in the prenatal and womenโ€™s health diagnostics market.
  • Experience in dealing with a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Self-directed with strong work ethics and initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrably good at working within multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong ownership skills.
  • Salesforce CRM competence.
  • Ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures, rules and/or regulations to clinicians and the public.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to establish and maintain cooperative relationships when dealing with the needs, problems, and/or concerns of clinicians, the public, and/or outside agencies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
