OVERVIEW
The senior PM will be responsible for Leading and managing successful execution of transformational program/projects and ensuring delivery of business value. This role will collaborate with key IT and business stakeholders on execution approach and will lead by example with a passion for delivery and process excellence, ensuring that complex enterprise-wide initiatives drive value for all stakeholders.
The candidate must possess exceptional professional and interpersonal agility and an in-depth understanding of program and project management methodology/processes and change management concepts. The ideal candidate will focus on results, leadership, management and decision-making and will be responsible for the overall success of strategic portfolio projects. This person will also play a major role in developing the project management maturity in the IT PMO by implementing best practices, methodology and tools to be used by intermediate and junior project managers. The candidate should be able to think strategically, perform well under pressure and have an extensive experience overseeing large scale systems and process deployments with a proven track record of delivering strong results. This leader should be able to influence others to move towards common goals, establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively with all levels of the organization while driving enterprise standards.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage IT Programs that interface with the CIO and IT/business leadership and deliver on strategic roadmap capabilities
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure that projects are following established project management standards and are delivered on time, within budget and with change management excellence
  • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors and stakeholders
  • Define success criteria and ensure value realization throughout major project milestones
  • Effectively communicate and manage program expectations to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders
  • Manage the IT project roadmap and provide regular updates to the CIO staff and business stakeholders
  • Evaluate and track ROI on all major project initiatives and synchronize IT project deliverables with business goals
  • Provide focus, consistency and on-going governance of IT programs
  • Review budget proposals and advises on program budgets
  • In partnership with the project managers and project business stakeholders, establish key operational metrics and dashboards for portfolio, business reviews and project steering teams
  • Facilitate development and actively share of best practices through informal communication channels and formal training sessions.
  • Work to resolve and escalate critical program issues for appropriate/timely resolution.
  • Assess portfolio complexity and develop the right project team to drive successful execution
  • Manage all program aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Lead, direct and be accountable for the overall performance of the IT PMO team in the delivery of the portfolio
  • Create organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • BS degree in business management, finance, computer science or a related discipline is preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in IT organization
  • 10 years of program and project management experience including large scale, complex projects; PMP preferred
  • 5 years of team leadership experience
