As an Executive Director, Senior Project Finance Specialist you will be successful if you have a personality which is clearly "actively focused on other people", and for employees to make careful consideration between risks and results in the performance of work duties, with the objective to increase and maintain customer confidence in the entire value chain of product development, product distribution and customer advice. The Senior Project Finance (PF) Specialist is a key member of the PF Americas team, responsible for helping to build and grow a specialized sector financing business by generating, structuring, executing, and monitoring prudent and profitable renewable energy, sustainability-linked and corporate client-related financing transactions, and developing a high quality client base.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior PF Specialist will be responsible for:
โ€ข Developing, maintaining and growing a strong client base on which to build an expanding financing business, and maintaining a visible and positive presence in the market representing Rabobank;
โ€ข Identifying business opportunities, and converting them to profitable transactions through expert structuring and efficient documentation and closing;
โ€ข Managing transactions through the internal credit process by consultation, analysis, structuring, and communication with credit, regional, and business line managers;
โ€ข Managing deal teams, including mentoring, training and supervising middle-level and junior transactors. May include functional/workflow management of a pool of Associate and Analyst-level team members;
โ€ข Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring a portfolio of loans including, as needed, expansions, refinancings, restructurings, exits, etc., based on risk analysis;
โ€ข Cross-selling existing Rabobank products including derivatives, and looking for new Rabobank products to adapt and cross-sell;
โ€ข Developing new products and techniques in Project Finance;
โ€ข Support of staffing of junior employees on transaction deal teams, which will include continuous communication with staff on intensity of deal activity, workload, travel schedules, etc.;
โ€ข With the support of other PF team members, key role in recruiting and hiring of junior employees, including participation in outreach, interview process and evaluation.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • MBA/Master's Degree
  • CFA Qualifications
  • Series 24/79/63
  • Ability to travel regionally and globally, up to 35%.
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Operation of financial models
  • Legal documentation
  • Strong communications skills (oral and written)
  • Operation of money markets and capital markets
  • Understanding of credit application process;
  • Negotiation and structuring skills.

Salary Expectations:
Target Hiring Range: $225,000.00 - $275 ,000.00
This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank's compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
