Job description

Director, Project Finance wanted by Safari Energy, LLC in New York, NY.
Act as the Finance lead overseeing project finance debt transactions, tax equity financings and other debt raising. Oversee, mentor and train the Analysts, Associates and Managers on the Project Finance team dedicated to finance the company's solar projects. Manage and review financial models reflecting complex financing structures. Review and negotiate financing documentation and supporting project documents. Oversee due diligence process including Independent Engineer, Legal, Insurance and Environmental diligence. Coordinate between business development, finance, legal and operations professionals to ensure bankability of Projects. Salary: $250,000/year
Requires: Master's degree in finance, environmental science and policy, or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a manager role involving project and infrastructure finance. Requires 3 years of experience with the following skills/tools (which may have been gained concurrently):
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis
    • Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
    • Excel Add-ins: Operis Analysis Kit (OAK)
    • FAST Modeling Standard
  • Programming Language
    • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Marketing intelligence and deal databases
  • IJGlobal, Inframation, Capital IQ
