Job description

Rep. Raul Ruiz, M.D (CA-25) is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join his team as Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute campaign finance plan for the 2026 cycle.
  • Oversee finance team of consultants and interns.
  • Direct fundraising responsibilities, including staffing candidate call time, managing events, and overseeing the finance plan and budget and National Travel.
  • Manage programs for new donor research/outreach and existing donor engagement.
  • Track donor data and other finance metrics; ensure accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for fundraising activities.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 full cycles of campaign finance experience on a Congressional race or larger; experience managing candidate call time and planning high-dollar fundraising events.
  • Working knowledge of campaign finance law and FEC reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with NGP, ActBlue, and Google Drive & Excel.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance competing tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Experience directly managing/staffing a principal.
  • Working knowledge of PAC and digital fundraising.
