The Summer Campus Program Director serves as the University's central leader for summer strategy, operations, and workforce planning, responsible for integrating academic programs, conferences, athletic camps, and campus services into a unified, high-quality summer experience.

Working across academic and administrative units-including event services, housing, dining, facilities, transportation, information technology, risk management, athletics, admissions, marketing, Human Resources, and student services-the Director provides enterprise leadership to align priorities related to space utilization, program scheduling, resource allocation, workforce deployment, organizational effectiveness, and operational execution.

The Director partners with University leadership to support strategic workforce planning, organizational development, staffing models, and operational transformation initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of summer operations. The position participates in the evaluation of organizational structures, staffing strategies, position classifications, and workforce deployment plans and may contribute to discussions regarding organizational changes affecting summer operations. 
The Director ensures that summer operations are coordinated, customer-centered, compliant, and strategically positioned to maximize institutional impact through improved campus utilization, enhanced program quality, workforce effectiveness, operational excellence, and financial sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education administration, conference/event coordination, program management, or campus operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budget management and operational planning.
  • Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and best practices for supporting minors and diverse student populations.
  • Commitment to inclusive excellence.
Desirable Qualifications
Master's or higher preferred.
