Job description

Role Overview 

Hertzoperatesone of the largest and most complex vehicle fleets in the world. The Senior Director Product, Fleet OperationsManagementwill define and lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for all fleet operations-related products and platforms across the enterprise. 

This leader will own the end-to-end digital ecosystem that powers fleet utilization, maintenance, daamges, telematics, and lifecycle optimization. The role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, technical depth, operational excellence, and executive influence. 

You will lead a high-performing team of product leaders and work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, data science, finance, and executive leadership to transform Hertz's fleet into a data-driven, intelligent, and highly optimized asset.

  • Define and drive thevision, strategy, and multi-year roadmapfor Hertz's fleet operation product ecosystem. 
  • Lead the development ofplatforms and productsthatoptimizefleet lifecycle management, including allocation,utilization, maintenance, and damages. 
  • Build and scaleintelligent, data-driven systemsleveragingtelematics, IoT, AI/ML, and predictive analytics to maximize fleet ROI. 
  • Partner with operations to digitize and modernizefleet workflows across hundreds of locations globally. 
  • Establishreal-time visibility and control systemsfor fleet health, availability, and performance. 
  • Driveenterprise-wide initiativesrelated to electrification (EVs), connected vehicles, and emerging mobility technologies. 
  • Ownproduct governance, prioritization, and investment decisionsacross thefleetoperations product portfolio.

  • Identifyand act onemerging trendsin mobility, connected vehicles, EV infrastructure, and fleet optimization technologies. 
  • Balancecustomer experience, operational efficiency, and financial outcomesin all product decisions.

Basic Qualifications 

  • 12+ years of product management experience, includingleading large-scale, complex product portfolios 
  • Proven experience owningend-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution 
  • Strongtrack recordofbuilding and scaling high-performing product teams 
  • Experience working ondata-intensive, operational, or platform products 
  • Demonstrated ability toinfluence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment 
  • Deep understanding oftechnology architecture, trade-offs, and system design 
  • Experienceoperatinginagile environments and delivering at scale 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience infleet operations management, mobility, automotive,logistics, or transportation 
  • Exposure totelematics, IoT, connected vehicles, or EV ecosystems 
  • Strong background indata platforms, analytics, or AI/ML-driven products 
  • Experience managingglobal or highly distributed operational systems 
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, data science, or related field 

We expect the starting salary to be around $215k but will be commensurate with relevant work experience
