Job Description

The Sr. NAM GTM Planning & Portfolio Analyst role is critical for supporting the strategic oversight of Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives and portfolio strategies for North America Video Security & Access Control (VS&A). This position will report to the NAM GTM Regional Product Management Director and acts as a vital link between revenue operations and data analytics, providing insights to optimize our GTM strategy and drive revenue performance. The focus is on ensuring that all projects and initiatives are prioritized effectively and align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Business Case Development: Build robust business cases to support prioritization and decision-making across the organization. This includes analyzing potential value and risk to ensure new initiatives align with the long-term strategy.

  • Portfolio Performance Tracking & Optimization: Continuously refine and optimize portfolio strategies and priorities. Track product performance across business segments, industry, and GTM channels, and recommend and implement responsive actions for Sales Leadership.

  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret performance data, including financials, timelines, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Create and maintain dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to provide leadership with a clear view of portfolio health.

  • GTM Program Management: Program manage post-launch GTM initiatives to ensure alignment with initial goals and KPIs. Act as the guardian of the product's early life in the market to ensure sustained growth and full potential realization.

  • Process & Methodology Support: Support the development and maintenance of portfolio management methodologies and processes to ensure consistency and rigor in how projects are initiated, planned, executed, and monitored.

  • Advanced Analysis: Lead and execute complex data analysis projects, including in-depth trend analyses, revenue insights, and sophisticated KPI modeling.

  • Market Influence: Analyze business opportunities and market trends to grow the VS&A Motorola Solutions Incorporated (MSI) offer both organically and inorganically. Provide input to influence and define the future North American product portfolio strategy.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape and overall market trends to define market-leading solutions.

  • Product Development Support: Provide support during product development stages by assisting in trade-offs involving features, schedules, cost, pricing, solution positioning, and lifecycle management.

  • Financial Oversight: Track project budgets, analyze variances, and help manage the overall financial health of the portfolio, aligning project funding with available resources in coordination with finance departments.

  • Risk Management: Help identify, assess, and monitor risks and issues that could impact portfolio performance or strategic objectives, and provide analysis and recommendations for mitigation.

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience in portfolio or product management, Product Planning, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales Operations, Product Engineering, or Sales Engineering.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree is a plus.

  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial cost models and business plans.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling, and concise narratives for senior leaders.

  • Data Proficiency: Proficient in Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Familiarity with SQL or other database languages is a plus.

  • Project Management Tools: Proficient in Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira for tracking project status and timelines.

  • CRM Familiarity: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (i.e., SFDC).

  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while paying excellent attention to detail.

  • Strategic & Detail Orientation: Ability to understand and communicate the big picture while being detail-oriented about execution.

  • Core Competencies: Excellent organizational skills, demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving, and dispute-resolution abilities.

  • Language: Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 USD
