Job description

Pay: $20- $22 an hour- Full-time
Requirements
  • Florida Aquatic Pesticide Applicator License or be able to obtain a license within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience in lake and pond management, pest/herbicide control or surveying is preferred.
  • Experience in the following disciplines are desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences or forestry.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Able to swim and comfortable around water.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Basic math skills to calculate product applications.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and treat invasive weeds.
  • Visual inspection of stormwater components.
  • Mowing/string trimming sites.
  • Improving the overall aesthetics of the sites.
  • Minor repairs for compliance.
  • Implement safety training for field staff.
  • Handle administrative duties.
