Job description

The Distribution and Channel Strategy Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight of Sun's RV booking channels. The position drives maximum profitability across all Sun and third-party resorts by optimizing the channel mix across Online Travel Agencies (OTA), Direct, Web, and Mobile platforms, and leads the coordination and set-up of new OTA partnerships along with maintaining existing OTA partnerships including Booking.com, Airbnb, Spot2nite, Hipcamp, and Expedia. The position ensures online visibility, rate parity, and cohesive inventory distribution across all channels, and coordinates marketing and revenue management efforts across the entire Sun RV portfolio, translating performance analysis into actionable growth strategies.

Job Duties
  • Analyzes reservation and revenue trends across all booking platforms to determine and execute the most profitable channel mix. (Essential)
  • Develops and drives comprehensive weekly performance reports, leveraging data-driven insights to identify revenue growth opportunities, and implement strategic initiatives that enhance profitability across all distribution streams. (Essential)
  • Analyzes and interprets complex data, translating information into actionable insights for senior leadership to facilitate high-level reviews of the channel strategy for all Sun and third party operated properties. (Essential)
  • Drives strategic plans to optimize channel distribution mix percentage, boosting overall revenue and occupancy. (Essential)
  • Manages and cultivates partnerships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and third-party resort operators, developing and executing tailored revenue management strategies that maximize exposure and optimize bookings. (Essential)
  • Monitors competitor pricing utilizing market survey tools to understand market dynamics, and regional demand generators to allow for competitive positioning and proactive rate adjustments. (Essential)
  • Partners with Accounting and Finance teams to establish and maintain best accounting practices for OTA commissions and revenue reconciliation. (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Updates and manages specialized Contact Center and property specific call queue reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to track conversion rates and agent performance.
  • Maintains strict rate parity across all internal and external booking channels by developing and utilizing advanced reporting and auditing tools.
  • Develops and implements the channel management budget for Sun RV operated resorts.
  • Executes additional strategic initiatives and special projects as requested by senior management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics. (Required)
  • 5 years in experience in a Revenue Management, Finance, or Business-related analytical role (Required)
  • 2 years in property management or hospitality industry experience (Required)
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable in large dataset transformation and have an aptitude to perform numerical analysis and formulate conclusions along with solutions
  • Strong attention to detail, modeling and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task between multiple departments and assignments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use advanced formulas
  • Ability to travel less than 10% of time per year (3-5 trips/site-visits per year)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
