Overview
RealPage is seeking a highly skilled Opportunity to Quote Solution Architect to lead the strategy, design, and ongoing optimization of our Oracle Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) Cloud platform, with upstream ownership of the Salesforce Opportunity process. This role serves as the primary owner of the CPQ ecosystem and its integration with Salesforce, ensuring a seamless, scalable, and efficient transition from opportunity through quote.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Oracle CPQ, strong understanding of opportunity management in Salesforce, and a forward-thinking mindset focused on leveraging AI-driven solutions and modern Oracle UX frameworks (Redwood) to transform the quoting experience.
Responsibilities
  • Ownership & Strategy
  • Serve as the end-to-end architect of Oracle CPQ, including roadmap, enhancements, and governance
  • Own the integration and alignment between Salesforce Opportunities and CPQ processes
  • Define and drive CPQ strategy aligned with business growth and monetization models
  • Own and manage the CPQ product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into quoting and pricing processes
  • Drive adoption of Oracle Redwood UX standards within CPQ
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Product Ownership & Business Alignment
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, and RevOps to gather and prioritize requirements, with a primary focus on CPQ capabilities and outcomes
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications for CPQ and related integrations
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization sessions
  • Ensure delivered CPQ solutions meet prioritized business requirements and drive measurable outcomes
  • Continuously refine processes to improve quote accuracy, speed, and scalability
  • Solution Design & Implementation
  • Design and implement scalable CPQ solutions, including product configuration, pricing rules, workflows, and approvals
  • Ensure effective data flow and process alignment between Salesforce Opportunities and CPQ
  • Incorporate AI-enabled capabilities to improve pricing accuracy, guided selling, and quote generation
  • Design and optimize user experiences leveraging Oracle Redwood design principles
  • Ensure best practices in CPQ architecture, performance, and maintainability
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and Product teams to align CPQ capabilities with business needs
  • Provide guidance on how Salesforce Opportunity structure and data should support downstream CPQ processes
  • Facilitate solution design sessions focused on CPQ and quote-to-cash optimization
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Platform Management & Optimization
  • Oversee CPQ system performance, data integrity, and user experience
  • Continuously improve quoting processes, automation, and cycle time
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven enhancements such as pricing optimization and recommendation engines
  • Ensure consistent adoption of Redwood UX standards within CPQ
  • Manage integrations between CPQ, Salesforce, and downstream systems such as ERP and billing
  • Governance & Support
  • Establish governance, release management, and change control processes for CPQ
  • Provide production support for CPQ and related integrations
  • Mentor and guide CPQ developers and administrators, including AI-enabled and Redwood-aligned practices

Qualifications
Required:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines)
  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science
  • Proven experience as a Solution Owner, Architect, Product Owner, or Lead in CPQ implementations
  • Strong experience working in a Product Owner or Agile delivery model, including backlog management
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Product configuration and complex pricing models
  • Discounting, bundling, and subscription pricing
  • Quote-to-Cash processes
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Opportunity management and how it integrates with CPQ
  • Experience integrating CPQ with CRM (Salesforce) and downstream systems
  • Demonstrated ability or strong interest in leveraging AI/ML or automation technologies within CPQ or revenue systems
  • Experience or exposure to Oracle Redwood UX framework or Redwood-aligned applications
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable CPQ solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Required:
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models
  • Oracle CPQ certifications
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud experience or certifications
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and middleware tools
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to AI tools, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation within CPQ or revenue platforms
  • Experience implementing or optimizing Redwood UX in Oracle Cloud applications
  • Deep CPQ domain expertise with strong solution ownership mindset
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable CPQ solutions
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a focus on AI-driven innovation
  • Understanding of modern UX principles, including Oracle Redwood
