Position Title - Director of Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SENT) Programs

Location - Morehouse College - Atlanta, GA

Position Summary - The Director of the SENT Programs oversees operations, fundraising, and marketing of SENT Startup Competition, SENT Student Venture Incubator, and the development of the student ventures and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Division of Business and Economics. This is a part-time position with no benefits.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Business or closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.

At least four years' experience working with or leading an entrepreneurship center, entrepreneurship support organization, or direct experience as an entrepreneur.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including maintaining at least 10 in-office hours per week to support student entrepreneurs and collaborate with entrepreneurial mentors.

Monthly schedule includes a combination of on-site and remote work: two weeks (approximately 20 hours) in the office and two weeks (approximately 20 hours) remote.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Over the course of the academic year, the director is expected to do the following:

  1. Manage the budget and day to day operations of the SENT Programs and the BE Division's Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
  2. Regular communications to the Dean of Business and Economics on activities, programs, and events.
  3. Perform external relations to raise funding for the SENT incubator.
  4. Plan events and workshops for entrepreneurs.
  5. Create programming that advances and grows student ventures.
  6. Prepare student ventures for the SENT Startup competition.
  7. Find entrepreneurial mentors for student ventures.
  8. Create annual report and metrics for SENT programs.
