Account Director- Oil & Gas

Full Time

Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) seeks an Account Director to join its Client Services team to bolster the firm’s Oil & Gas portfolio. The demand for upstream, midstream, and logistics infrastructure has created an opportunity to hire a director to manage current clients and accounts, as well as be a part of expanding this sector to a national program with enhanced resources and reach. This work will be done in concert with our VP of Client Services, SVP of Power, and relevant market professionals, designing a plan together that also considers the candidate’s network, relationship, and market access.

The position considers the strengths and experience of the successful candidate but generally includes a balanced focus on existing account management, new client acquisition, and project or technical engagement. Success will be measured through annual bookings and individualized goals related to strategic account management, new business development, and overall contribution to ECT's growth. ECT's single P&L model balances individual goals with collaborative company success, creating an environment where relationships and opportunities are developed for the benefit of both the individual and the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and expand key regional and national oil & gas accounts based on annual business planning, clients plans, and market opportunity.
  • Lead qualified new business pursuits with a team focused on power delivery, transmission, renewables, oil and gas, and related infrastructure markets.
  • Create and execute account plans and growth strategies for priority clients.
  • Lead and support client pursuits, capture strategies, proposals, and relationship-building activities.
  • Collaborate with operations and relevant staff to bolster and Oil & Gas national program over time to ensure appropriate resources and talent to support growing demand.
  • Serve as the liaison between the client and account demands and the project teams to ensure quality deliverables, client satisfaction, and future growth opportunities.
  • Represent ECT in client meetings, industry organizations, conferences, and other market-facing settings as relevant to your client and market focus. Monthly business travel is a reasonable expectation but depends on candidate location, client relationships, and market focus.
  • Contribute market insight, technical or project support, and mentorship based on individual strengths and experience.
  • Achieve or exceed annual goals designed to foster team success and individual accountability.
Experience & Education
  • Relevant degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing, managing, and growing client relationships. This includes an activity managed network relevant to the region and industry focus.
  • Experience in relevant oil & gas markets, primarily midstream but also upstream, distribution, port/terminals, and related infrastructure.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, business development, and collaboration skills.
  • Existing industry relationships within oil & gas and related power and natural resource markets.
