Insero Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing hospitality organization in the Rochester area to recruit a Director of Housekeeping. This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of a well-established luxury property recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Director of Housekeeping will provide leadership for all housekeeping operations across the property, ensuring guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas consistently reflect the organization's high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service. This individual will lead a dedicated housekeeping team, oversee daily operations, drive process improvements, and collaborate closely with hotel leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day direction for the Housekeeping team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service.
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and common areas consistently meet luxury hospitality standards.
  • Develop staffing plans, schedules, and departmental workflows that align with occupancy levels and operational demands.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members while promoting employee engagement and professional growth.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs through routine inspections, operational audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee housekeeping inventories, supplies, linen management, and departmental resources to support efficient operations.
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Facilities, and hotel leadership to ensure seamless daily operations and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Support departmental budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and operational planning.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Foster a guest-first culture by responding to service opportunities, implementing improvements, and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive housekeeping or hospitality leadership experience, preferably within hotels, resorts, or luxury hospitality environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and motivating large operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, quality standards, scheduling, inventory management, and departmental planning.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems and workforce management software is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
