Job description

Responsible for managing projects with limited financial impact up to $100k. Operates with detailed oversight, in areas where strategies are defined, within one to two programs and associated projects. Leads small sized cross-functional projects in established technology domains. Is a growing and developing program management practitioner for the organization. Relies on data-driven and functional technical judgment, informed by developing knowledge of core system technologies to make decisions. Adapts to program needs and addresses simple to moderately complex problems while acquiring expertise as needed. Drives clarity, urgency, and alignment through insightful inquiries, project-level, and program-level reviews to enhance efficiency. Partners effectively with mid-level management, builds consensus, and participates in service line priorities. Identifies and escalates project and program issues, drives mid-level escalations, and consistently meets high standards for customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Contributes to the growth of technical program management and business intelligence communities through education and collaboration. Participates in innovation in healthcare through well-defined projects and management of small programs leveraging expertise in healthcare data, analytics, and technical project management. Participates in mentorship with more experienced Technical Program Management practitioners and seeks their guidance as needed.
Project Management: Manages projects with high oversight from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Creates, maintains, and controls the project schedule, facilitates meetings, and proactively identifies risks to the project. Creates and maintains project management documentation such as charter, scope, risk register, issue log, time estimator, and more in collaboration with stakeholders and project team members. Facilitates program communications, identifies and implements continuous improvement practices, and provides regular status reports as required.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, healthcare professionals, and executives, to gather requirements and align project goals with organizational objectives. Acts as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations.
Technical Expertise: Possesses a strong understanding of healthcare data sources, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), claims data, and clinical data; or similar data/industry data sources. Oversees the design and implementation of data warehouses, data models, reports, and reporting dashboards.
Risk Management- Identifies potential project/program risks and issues. Develops mitigation strategies and suggestions through collaboration with stakeholders, Technical Program Manager mentor(s) and/or direct leader. Monitors progress and takes corrective actions as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Education: Bachelor's degree or the equivalence of 8 years experience in a comparable job.
Licensure/Certification: PMP, CAPM, and/or CSM certification highly preferred.
Experience: 1+ year(s) experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development. 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code such as SQL, R, or Python and/or Epic reporting build (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). Experience with Tableau.
