Job description

ABOUT LVT
LVT is redefining how businesses operate in the physical world, moving beyond traditional security solutions to deliver AI-driven, actionable intelligence that makes sites smarter, safer, and more secure. Since pioneering our first mobile, solar-powered units, our commitment to scrappy, hands-on innovation has made us an established leader and one of the fastest-growing companies in intelligent site technology. We are building the next generation of solutions-from our physical units in the field to a powerful Agentic AI platform-that allows our customers to gain unprecedented visibility and control over safety, compliance, and operations. This is your chance to join a cutting-edge team that isn't just watching the world change, but actively building the technology that is changing it.
We're a team that's focused on growth and innovation, and we're proud that our crew, products, and leadership are being recognized for it.
  • A Top-Tier Growth Company: Named one of the Financial Times' Fastest Growing Companies 2025 and #10 on the Inc. 5000 Rocky Mountain Regional list for 2025.
  • Innovative Leadership: Our CEO, Ryan Porter, was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2025, and our CTO, Steve Lindsey, was inducted into the Silicon Slopes CTO Hall of Fame in 2024.
  • Product & Software Excellence: We were named one of The Software Report's Top 100 Software Companies of 2023 and are a winner of the Security Today Govies Award for 2025.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
LVT is at an inflection point. We've proven we can build fast. Now we need to build with precision at scale-and this role is the mechanism for that shift.
As our first Director of Technical Program Management, you will build the TPM function from the ground up and report directly to the CTO. You'll lead a lean team of IC TPMs and serve as the critical bridge between Product, Engineering, Hardware, and AI-translating ambitious roadmaps into disciplined, predictable delivery.
This role is for a builder and operator in equal measure: someone who can design the system, lead the team, and still get into the details when it matters.
This role is based out of our new Seattle co-working space or in our headquarters in American Fork, Utah.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish the TPM Function: Design and implement the organizational structure, processes, and delivery frameworks for the TPM team from the ground up.
  • Strategic Integration: Act as the primary connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Hardware Engineering, Internal and External suppliers and Joint-development partners to ensure technical dependencies are identified and managed across the entire Agentic AI and physical unit ecosystem.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and manage a team of IC Technical Program Managers. Define what "great" looks like and build toward it.
  • Roadmap Orchestration: Partner with the CTO, CPO and leaders in Product/Engineering org to define program milestones and ensure resource allocation reflects LVT's highest-priority bets.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical bottlenecks and cross-functional risks, implementing mitigation strategies before they impact delivery timelines. Manage the intersection of hardware lead times, software deployment cycles, and AI training schedules-keeping all departments synchronized and unblocked.
  • Operational Excellence: Standardize reporting metrics and communication channels to provide executive leadership with real-time visibility into program health and velocity.
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex trade-offs between hardware lead times, software deployment cycles, and AI training schedules to keep all departments aligned including contributing to data driven and KPI oriented culture that provides transparency and actional path at all levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and evolve LVT's development lifecycle to increase efficiency and maintain quality as the company scales.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Proven Leadership: 12+ years of experience in technical program management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing other TPMs.
  • Hybrid Domain Expertise: Deep experience managing programs that involve both complex software (SaaS/AI) and physical hardware products; you understand the unique rhythms of both.
  • Zero-to-One Mindset: You have successfully built or significantly scaled a TPM or PMO function within a fast-growing, high-tech environment.
  • Technical Fluency: While you are a process expert, you possess the technical depth to engage in architectural discussions across AI, cloud, and embedded systems.
  • Expert Orchestrator: You excel at translating high-level business requirements into detailed technical execution plans that engineering teams can rally behind.
  • Resilient Communicator: You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can effectively communicate complex technical status to both executive stakeholders and individual engineers.
  • Data-Driven: You use metrics and tooling to drive accountability and have a proven track record of improving delivery predictability.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; an MBA or PMP is a plus but secondary to proven experience.

COMPENSATION The beginning annual salary range for this role is $200,000.00 - $275,000.00 USD and is determined by location, job-related experience, and education/training. Your total earning potential is amplified by a bonus structure tied to meeting goals, and you will become an owner from day one through our employee equity program.
