Job description

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Client Service Manager to help accelerate growth in our Virginia market—an established, high-potential region with strong client relationships, active projects, and a clear runway for expansion.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on building—someone who can step into a market that’s already in motion and take it to the next level. You’ll have the foundation, support, and brand behind you—now we’re looking for the person who can turn momentum into meaningful, sustained growth.

What You’ll Do

As a Client Service Manager, you’ll operate at the intersection of client strategy, business development, and delivery excellence. You’ll be responsible for expanding client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading teams to deliver high-quality work that strengthens our presence in the region.

  • Drive Market Growth: Build and execute client strategies that expand our footprint across Virginia, increasing market share and introducing new services.
  • Develop Key Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, cultivating long-term partnerships and positioning Kennedy Jenks as a go-to firm.
  • Lead and Inspire Teams: Build and guide high-performing, multidisciplinary teams aligned to client needs and growth goals.
  • Own the Work: Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, profitability, and client satisfaction—while identifying opportunities for follow-on work.
  • Shape the Future: Partner with operations and leadership to identify strategic hires, strengthen capabilities, and scale the business.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Established + Growing: You’re not starting from scratch—this market already has traction, active clients, and a strong reputation.
  • Entrepreneurial Environment: You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, pursue opportunities, and build something meaningful.
  • Visible Impact: Your work will directly influence regional growth, team expansion, and long-term success.

What You Bring

  • Client service expertise: Proven ability to grow client relationships and drive business development in the water/wastewater infrastructure space.
  • Leadership approach: Strong leadership experience managing projects, people, and client accounts.
  • Executive mindset: A strategic mindset with the ability to see opportunities and turn them into action.
  • Business acumen: Experience managing revenue targets, project performance, and ROI.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Industry experience: 15+ years of relevant experience in consulting, engineering, or infrastructure services.
  • Technical experience: Experience leading client accounts, programs, or multiple projects.
  • Tools and software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Kennedy Jenks supports work-life balance through a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $150,000 to $243,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.

Benefits summary: Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; a health savings account; a 401(k); bonus programs; tuition reimbursement; employee ownership opportunity; professional registration support; business travel assistance; competitive paid time off and holidays; an employee assistance program; and additional programs that support your wellbeing and professional growth.
