Job description

About Brookwood Group
Brookwood Group is not a traditional owner's rep firm. We are a technology-driven advisory company redefining how complex capital projects get planned, delivered, and documented. Backed by the Zero RFI portfolio, we sit at the intersection of construction expertise and modern technology, building tools and service models that the industry has never seen before. We are early in that journey, and we are growing fast.
If you have spent your career watching the AEC industry resist change and you are done waiting for someone else to fix it, this is your seat at the table.
The Role
We are looking for a Director of Business Development who wants to help build something, not just sell something. This is a senior, client-facing growth role responsible for expanding Brookwood Group's reach across our full portfolio: owner's representation, program advisory, and technology-enabled project delivery through BuildingWorks and the DataSphere platform.
You will own the pipeline. You will open doors, deepen relationships, and convert opportunities across owners, developers, institutions, and public agencies. You will work closely with practice leads and leadership to sharpen how we position our services and bring new ideas for how we grow. This role is based in Atlanta and is central to where Brookwood goes next.
What You'll Do
  • Build and convert a pipeline of qualified opportunities across Brookwood Group's full service portfolio
  • Identify and develop new client relationships with owners, developers, and capital project decision-makers in the AEC sector
  • Drive cross-sell opportunities between Brookwood's advisory services and BuildingWorks' technology platform
  • Develop and lead pursuit strategies, proposals, and executive presentations for high-value opportunities
  • Represent Brookwood at industry events and client forums as a credible, visible voice for what modern owner's rep looks like
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and technology shifts to inform go-to-market strategy
  • Maintain pipeline data and reporting discipline; communicate BD status and forecasts to senior leadership
  • Support contract negotiation and onboarding coordination alongside delivery leads

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years in business development, client management, or pursuit leadership within AEC, owner's rep, program management, or construction technology
  • A genuine belief that technology is reshaping construction and a desire to be part of that shift
  • Demonstrated track record of building and closing complex, multi-stakeholder client relationships
  • Existing relationships within the owner/developer community - commercial real estate, healthcare, higher education, public sector, or similar
  • Experience selling or positioning technology-enabled services, SaaS platforms, or data-driven products is a strong differentiator
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable at the executive level and in the field
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active pursuits simultaneously
  • CRM proficiency and pipeline management discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Why Brookwood
  • You will have real ownership over a growth function at a firm that is actively building its future
  • You will sell services that are genuinely differentiated, backed by technology that the market is just beginning to understand
  • You will work alongside a tight, high-trust team that moves fast and values people who do the same
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
  • This is a startup environment inside a credentialed firm. That combination is rare.
