Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Director of Quality, you will provide leadership and consultative services to departments and services within the organization in achieving best-in-class performance of Core Measures. You will lead the hospital-wide Core Measure process between the physician, clinical staff, leadership, and core measure staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and improving the overall integrity of the core measure data. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing the hospital-wide performance improvement plan and performance measurement functions. You will prepare for and ensure regulatory/accreditation standards related to The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. You will plans and prepare for PI reporting at the Patient Care PI Committee and PI/Patient Safety Council and other hospital/medical staff meetings as indicated.

The Director’s primary focus will include:

  • Providing leadership for the core measure staff to ensure the appropriateness, timeliness, effectiveness, and integrity of core measure data to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing the NDNQI reports and MIDAS system
  • Responsible for fiscal and human resource allocation based upon department guidelines.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, development and on-going evaluation/retention of staff.
  • Promotes a supportive environment that encourages teamwork.
  • Represents the Quality Management team at meetings or on committees as requested by the Vice President of Quality.
  • Prepares the annual business plan and longer-term strategic plan for Core Measure management process to meet regulatory compliance and achieve excellent results.
  • Assists in the development of other areas of the business plan for Quality Management.
  • Functions as a resource for hospital and medical staff regarding the specification updates and all core measure related information.
  • Facilitates the improvement of core measure performance.
  • Supervises the preparation and presentation of core measure reporting process.
  • Provides leadership and supervision for the medical staff peer review and PI function.
What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical healthcare related field, BSN preferred.
  • Similar recent clinical experience in acute care required.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Performance Improvement preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Current licensure/certification commensurate with education requirements.
