Director of Quality Management - Home Care Agency

Make a Difference in Patient Care and Lead Regulatory Excellence!

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for improving patient outcomes and ensuring regulatory compliance? We're seeking a Director of Quality for our Staten Island Office to lead our efforts in enhancing care quality, optimizing processes, and staying ahead of regulatory standards in our growing home care agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management & Incident Reporting: Oversee the documentation and management of patient and staff incidents, ensuring compliance with safety standards and acting as the liaison for legal matters.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensure proper release of patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and the "minimum necessary" rule.
  • Utilization Reviews & Audits: Supervise quarterly utilization reviews, auditing practices, and performance improvement plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and continuous quality enhancement.
  • Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs to educate staff on regulatory requirements (COPs/DOH), QAPI, HIPAA, and Emergency Management. Lead orientation and annual in-service programs.
  • Coordination with NYS Health Commerce System & DOH: Serve as the primary coordinator for the NYS Health Commerce System, responding to reports and coordinating with the Department of Health (DOH) when required.
  • Quality Management Oversight: Lead the Quality Management team (Clinical Analysts and Assistants), providing guidance and support to ensure all departments adhere to high-quality standards.
  • Industry Knowledge & Updates: Stay up to date with the latest regulations from NYS DOH, CMS, NGS, and OCR. Keep leadership informed about key changes and trends that impact the agency.
