Role Overview

This is an extremely senior Program Management role requiring 10+ years of dedicated Program Management experience (not Project Management). The Senior IT Program Manager is accountable for leading large, complex, multi‑workstream programs and overall program management operations, including executive reporting, governance, and long‑term benefits realization.


Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Alignment
  • Align program goals with organizational strategy and priorities.
  • Define program vision, roadmap, and business outcomes.
  • Identify and oversee technology and business initiatives supporting strategic objectives.
  • Communicate clearly with executive sponsors and senior stakeholders.
Program & Portfolio Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate multiple project managers and workstreams.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting across all program and project metrics.
  • Own program planning, execution, risk, and issue resolution with minimal oversight.
  • Manage cross‑program dependencies and remove delivery roadblocks.
Governance, Risk & Financial Management
  • Establish and maintain program governance, cadence, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Identify and mitigate cross‑program risks and dependencies.
  • Ensure programs remain within budget and deliver measurable value.
  • Track financial performance, resources, and cost‑benefit outcomes.
Stakeholder, Communication & Change Management
  • Manage relationships with leadership, partners, and impacted teams.
  • Deliver executive‑level program updates and status communications.
  • Lead or partner on change management, adoption, and transition to operations.
Delivery & Benefits Realization
  • Focus on long‑term outcomes, not just delivery milestones.
  • Measure and validate expected business and operational benefits.
  • Ensure smooth transition of delivered solutions into steady‑state operations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or related field required.
  • 10–12+ years of experience exclusively in Program Management, leading complex, enterprise‑scale programs.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in complex environments.
  • Deep knowledge of program management principles and PMI standards.
  • PMP, PgMP, or related certification preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to enterprise tools such as Workday and Workfront (Adobe).
