POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Corporate Relations and Giving works 52 weeks per year, 8 hours per day.
SALARY
Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.

This position is eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance coverage on the employee, spouse, and eligible dependents. If elected, insurance coverage begins the first of the following month. Retirement:
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).

Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use our Health & Wellness Centers conveniently located within the community. These are no-cost health clinics that provide primary care treatment, generic prescription medications (at no cost), physicals, health screenings, and labs.

SUMMARY:
The Director of Corporate Relations & Giving is responsible for driving revenue through event sponsorships, corporation and foundation grants and the annual appeal. The Director implements data-driven fundraising strategies while fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders to ensure sustainable revenue growth and community impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Leads efforts to secure substantial and sustainable revenue through corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and the annual appeal.
- Expands the Foundation's philanthropic reach by cultivating individual donors and businesses, driven by robust comprehensive initiatives and secondary revenue streams.
- Secures significant funding and impactful community engagement.
- Builds, manages, and actively stewards a dynamic portfolio of corporate donors, business leaders, and prospective corporate partners.
- Designs, packages, and pitches creative corporate sponsorship opportunities for EVSC Foundation signature events, student programs, and classroom grant initiatives.
- Works alongside EVSC leadership to align corporate philanthropic goals with the specific strategic needs of school district programs (e.g., STEM initiatives, community schools, vocational arts, and equity programs).
- Expands employee engagement initiatives, workplace giving programs, and corporate matching gift opportunities.
- Drafts high-quality, persuasive funding proposals, grant applications, and corporate presentations to secure major corporate investments.
- Ensures timely stewardship, benefit fulfillment, and metric-driven impact reports are delivered to corporate investors to maintain high retention rates.
- Serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for the EVSC Foundation at regional business networking events, chambers of commerce meetings, and civic luncheons.
- Acts as the primary liaison connecting corporate volunteers and resources with meaningful, hands-on experiences within EVSC schools.
- Maintains meticulous records of corporate touches, pipeline stages, and multi-year pledges using the foundation's CRM/donor database (e.g., Raisers Edge NXT or similar platform).
- Manages and reports on annual revenue goals, solicitation timelines, and expense budgets associated with corporate fundraising activities.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable commanding a room of executive-level decision-makers.
- Natural ability to build authentic rapport across diverse groups, from corporate CEOs to classroom educators.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of executing multiple multi-tiered corporate campaigns concurrently without missing deadlines.
- Proficiency with donor management databases (Bloomerang CRM software), Google Suite, and professional presentation tools.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate relations, institutional fundraising, business development, or B2B salesideally within an educational or non-profit environment.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, soliciting, and closing four and five-figure corporate gifts or sponsorships.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Driver's License - Regular local travel throughout the Greater Evansville area required in order to meet with prospective partners and visit school sites. (Occasional evenings and early mornings are required to attend networking events, foundation board meetings, and signature fundraising events.)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, textbooks, and government regulations
- Ability to write reports and general correspondence.
- Ability, both orally and in writing, to present information effectively and respond appropriately to questions and concerns from individuals and groups of educators, administrators, parents, students, and the general public.
