Job Description:
The Director of SEO will be responsible for leading the SEO department, including overseeing the daily operations of the team, and setting the direction for future SEO growth and product efforts. The Director of SEO will lead the SEO management team and be responsible for offering SEO expertise to the team, establishing and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This individual sets the departmental strategy, guides ongoing tactics and performs technical SEO audits on potential client websites. The Director attends major conferences as the subject matter expert and performs SEO demos.
Essential Functions:
  • Establish, monitor and maintain KPIs, metrics and quality controls for all initial and recurring tasks completed by SEO Managers
  • Hire, terminate, and oversee employees within the department
  • Adhere to Departmental budgeting requirements
  • Address challenging situations with clients and deescalate client related fires
  • Responsible for ongoing strategy for growth and retention of all clients
  • Lead monthly audits on all work being performed on the SEO team
  • Run client demos partnering with the Sales team
  • Perform SEO audits on potential client sites
  • Manage communications across DealerOn departments
  • Keep key stakeholders abreast of progress and KPIs
  • Oversee, develop, and perform ongoing training for the SEO team

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience
  • 8 years local SEO experience
  • 4 years of experience managing SEO and Digital marketing teams
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines
  • Working HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Suites (Word/Excel/Photoshop)
  • Experience with SEO/Site auditing tools (Screaming Frog)
  • Excellent content writing and content editing ability
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and data analysis

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • 15 years' experience in field or career
  • Advanced experience in Local SEO
  • Ability to confidently communicate with automotive dealers
  • Experience managing processes for a large team of SEO and digital marketing Consultants

The targeted salary range for this position is $106,400 - $161,400.
