Pay Range: $19.25 - $20.25 per/hr.

Job Objective:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Director of Marketing in the planning, coordination, and implementation of marketing and communications initiatives that promote the Salvation Army Kroc Center's programs, services, and mission. This position assists with the development of print and digital marketing materials, website and social media content, promotional campaigns, events, and other communications projects. The Marketing Coordinator works collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to help ensure timely, consistent, and brand-aligned communications. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing, communications, and promotional initiatives that advance The Salvation Army Kroc Center's mission.
  • Create, design, and distribute print and digital marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, program guides, signage, graphics, and other branded communications.
  • Maintain and update the Kroc Center website, social media channels, digital signage, and other communication platforms with timely, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Provide marketing support for events, programs, promotions, community outreach, and fundraising efforts through graphic design, photography, videography, and creative project coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and community partners to develop marketing materials that align with organizational branding standards.
  • Organize and maintain marketing assets, including graphic templates, digital files, and photo libraries, while assisting with project tracking and reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.
  • Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, publishing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience producing print and digital marketing materials using current graphic design software.
  • Basic photography and video production experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Canva, and Microsoft Office, with experience creating professional print and digital marketing materials.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems and basic web editing; knowledge of HTML/CSS and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, vendors, and community partners.
  • Experience using standard office, photography, and multimedia equipment to support marketing and communications initiatives.
  • A commitment to supporting the mission of The Salvation Army and the ability to work effectively in a Christian ministry environment.
