Overview

The Manager of Marketing Communications is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all marketing communications activities and materials including internal and external event planning and strategies, digital content development and support, digital sales enablement tools lead, content generation for trade events, digital advertising, and online communication efforts including e-mail, web, and social media. The role will have an immediate focus on website development and optimization, SEO/GEO and user experience. This role works within the Medical Informatics Business Unit (BU), specifically with the Marketing Communications team, and in collaboration with BU product management and downstream marketing to a designated area in the portfolio, such as cardiology, radiology, pathology, etc., to develop and execute the communications strategy. This role will work in support of marketing goals and objectives to effectively represent the company's Medical Informatics products (PACS) and services and drive interest and demand among target audience segments.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develops corporate and product communications strategies in alignment with BU marketing goals and objectives using an integrated mix of communications channels and tactics.
  • Collaborates within the BU on clinical specific messaging and delivery both internally and externally with direct responsibility for an assigned area, such as radiology, cardiology, pathology PACS, etc.
  • Recommends communications tactics, budget allocation, and activities for the expression of approved strategies. Prepares communication project briefs outlining project's goals, scope, pertinent background information, content, creative parameters, timing, and budget.
  • Establishes metrics & KPI's for success with each campaign and communications strategy.
  • Specializes in website optimization and user experience.
  • Leads SEO/GEO projects and tactics.
  • Manages BU advertising budget for accurate tracking including reconciliation with vendors, finance department, and additional cost centers on specific projects.
  • Manages areas of the portfolio for designated products such as cardiology marketing communications content, tactics and projects.
  • Identifies informational needs for communication tactics by working with Directors, Downstream marketing, and Product/Marketing Managers of functional groups.
  • Coordinates and manages creative briefings with input from appropriate parties.
  • Supports and helps to coordinate the various Medical Informatics digital platforms and sales enablement tools.
  • Adheres to the Company's quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Identifies, contracts, and manages appropriate outside resources and agencies required to execute marketing communication activities. Clearly expresses in writing performance expectations for said resources and ensures the quality of all contracted deliverables.
  • Establishes and manages vendor budgets and prepares monthly spending analyses reporting budget compliance or variation. Manages fulfillment services including vendor relations and inventory management.
  • Plans project specific photo shoots, video productions, and editing sessions.
  • Supports internal and external event planning to include securing meeting locations and logistics, as well as being part of the team in the completion of tasks and decision making on event details.
  • Supports Public Relations, Employee Communications, Event, and E- Communications efforts. Collaborates closely with Fujifilm Holdings group and identifies synergies and ways to leverage shared company resources.
  • Develops for specific product lines the marketing communication materials required to support marketing plans and programs, specifically cardiology. Maintains print and electronic libraries for use in advertising, brochures, internet development, presentations, eblasts and trade shows.
  • Prepares routine reports and various documents to measure various sales and promotional communications effectiveness. Prepares budgets and project tracking.
  • Assists product management with communications media and advertising materials to effectively represent the company's products and services to customers and prospects specifically to cardiology. Plans and manages all marketing communications activities.
  • Supports content generation for trade, event, print and e-based communication efforts including e-mail, web, and social media.
  • Works with internal events manager and outside agencies to support Company and BU trade show presence and associated promotional communications campaigns.
  • Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least five years' marketing communications or advertising experience in the healthcare space, agency and/or client-side, IT, and B-2-B space.
  • PACS or enterprise imaging marketing experience either in a clinical setting or within a PACS vendor marketing team.
  • Experience with online communications, demand generation, lead nurturing, media planning, sales enablement tools, events, and trade show marketing.
  • High attention to detail and project management skills with proven experience in managing projects and campaigns to successful on-time completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of assignments simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or advertising.

Special Skills or Other Job Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective communication skills to work within healthcare product management, Sales and company communications to tell the clinical story.
  • Strong presentation and analytic skills.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office, digital marketing, and Sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, Showpad, etc.

The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.

  • The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time.

Travel

  • Occasional travel to exhibits, Fujifilm site locations, and customer sites. Travel requirement is approximately 25%.
