Director, Global Content Production What you will do

In this vital role the Director, Global Content Production is responsible for operationalizing Amgen's content supply chain and leading the global production capability that delivers content at scale across brands, markets, and channels.

This leader oversees a global team and network of production partners responsible for delivering thousands of content production projects annually across web, CRM, Veeva, digital, print, localization, and omnichannel channels. The role is accountable for production quality, speed, compliance, cost efficiency, partner performance, and the successful adoption of automation and AI-enabled production capabilities.

Success in this role will be measured through improvements in production efficiency, cycle time reduction, content reuse, automation adoption, cost optimization, and the ability to scale content production globally.

Global Content Production Leadership
  • Lead a global team of production operations leaders across North America, Europe, and Asia responsible for production delivery and operational excellence.
  • Establish the operating model, governance framework, and service levels for the Global Content Production organization.
  • Build strategic partnerships across Content Excellence, Brand, Technology, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to align production capabilities with business needs.
  • Develop organizational capabilities and talent, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Content Supply Chain Operations
  • Lead the delivery of thousands of content production projects annually across web, CRM, Veeva, print, localization, modular content, and omnichannel production services.
  • Ensure efficient, compliant, and highโ€‘quality content delivery through standardized workflows, resource planning, and production controls.
  • Drive operational consistency across regions, brands, and partners to improve speed, scalability, and stakeholder experience.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to production speed, quality, compliance, cost, content reuse, capacity utilization, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Partner, Vendor & Financial Management
  • Oversee a global ecosystem of production agencies, creative partners, localization providers, and content operations vendors supporting content delivery at scale.
  • Manage production budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure costโ€‘effective and efficient operations.
  • Establish vendor performance frameworks and governance processes to ensure partners meet quality, service, and business expectations.
  • Optimize external spend and partner performance while improving scalability and service delivery.
Automation, AI & Capability Evolution
  • Partner with Content Transformation and Technology teams to operationalize new production capabilities, workflows, and platforms.
  • Drive adoption of automation, modular content, and AIโ€‘enabled production solutions that improve productivity, quality, speed, and scalability.
  • Serve as a key business advocate for production technologies, helping maximize value realization from content supply chain and AIโ€‘enabled production platforms.
  • Identify and scale GenAI and automation use cases that increase content throughput, improve content reuse, and support business growth without proportional increases in cost or resources.

  • Masterโ€™s degree and 7 years of experience in global content production operations, content supply chain management, and digital/omnichannel content delivery.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and 9 years of experience in global content production operations, content supply chain management, and digital/omnichannel content delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a record of successful crossโ€‘functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into action through detailed implementation plans.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to track executional performance and recommend improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skillsโ€”both written and verbalโ€”to influence across levels.
  • Experience working with agencies, operations teams, and brand teams in matrixed environments.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading change in evolving marketing environments.
