Position Overview

Hiring: Director of Commercial Operations

At  Freightwise, LLC

Location: Nashville, TN  

Hours: Fulltime, Monday through Friday, flexible hours

Hybrid: 3 days in office        

Pay: Salary with bonus, based on experience and performance

Travel: 2-3 days on 2 trips per month within the continental US.

Summary:

As the Director of Commercial Operations, you will be assigned specific Freightwise clients for whom you are responsible for maintaining long-term relationships, client retention, overseeing all interactions, and ensuring the client's needs are met on all levels, supporting professional client relations. 

As Director of Commercial Operations, you will:

  • Be the primary point of contact with your assigned clients
  • Build revenue planning and projections for clients and maximize YOY growth
  • Oversee client interactions from all areas of operations within Freightwise and ensure they are being fully serviced
  • Provide value with Spotlights, business reviews, reporting, market updates, and any other relevant, meaningful intelligence, building loyalty
  • Establish multiple points of contact within the organization to fully penetrate the account: executive, finance, operations, shipping, and purchasing
  • Identify additional opportunities for new business opportunities: additional CMMS modes, referrals, and integrations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations along with a support team, including: timely payments, strategic account planning, renewals, special projects, and all other relevant client needs
  • Travels to interact directly with clients
  • Support client through other duties as assigned
  • Identify and implement improvements in pricing models and analytics
  • Leverage advanced Excel and other tools to enhance reporting and insights

You will need to be effective:

  • BA or BS from a four-year college or university
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role with LTL client support
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Proficient in G-Suite (Google), Microsoft Office, CRM software, and Help Ticket software
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with effective follow-up
  • Travel within the continental US monthly to meet with clients, 2-3 days on 2 trips monthly
  • Be a critical thinker with problem-solving ability
