Job description

Director of Pharmacy-Clinical Research

The Director of Pharmacy- Clinical Research will lead pharmacy operations supporting early-phase clinical trials within a cGMP-regulated environment. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight to ensure the safe, compliant preparation and delivery of investigational products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and development for a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Oversee pharmacy operations supporting Phase I clinical trials
  • Ensure compliant preparation, storage, and dispensing of investigational products
  • Maintain adherence to cGMP, GxP, and applicable USP standards
  • Collaborate with clinical operations, sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support protocol development, feasibility assessments, and study execution
  • Drive quality systems, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Wisconsin PharmD or Registered Pharmacist licensure
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Must have Pharmacist experience, preferably within clinical research
