 Job Status: Full-Time 

 FLSA Status: Salary-Exempt      

 Reports To: Vice President of Business Development

 Location: The Woodlands, TX 

Amount of Travel Required: 25%

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday;  8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 POSITION SUMMARY: As Dynamis Power Solutions charts a strategic path towards accelerated growth within the power generation market, we are in pursuit of an astute Director of Business Development. This pivotal role is designed to spearhead our expansion efforts by identifying and forging new client relationships, specifically within the realm of new-build power generation equipment. The successful candidate will embody a strategic vision, coupled with an unwavering drive, to propel Dynamis Power Solutions toward achieving market leadership and sustained growth. Through a blend of strategic planning, market insight, and business acumen, this individual will play a critical role in navigating the complexities of the power generation landscape to secure lucrative opportunities and foster long-term business success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")  

  • Lead  and own Dynamis’ pursuit of new-build power generation orders. 
  • Own the Dynamis go-to-market strategy and implementation.
  • Development and coordination of marketing strategy for the organization.
  • Own existing and new customer relationships to ensure mutual success for all partners.
  • Develop & manage new business sales pipeline with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities within all applicable markets.
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
  • Assist the company in positioning the Dynamis platform as the platform of choice for mobile power generation.
  • Use technical acumen & relationship with the operations team to ensure a successful transition to operations with new clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Technical Degree in Power Generation required; bachelor’s degree in business development or relevant field will be considered.
  • Successful track record in Power Generation sales with 10 years of relevant experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Financial acumen to build proposals that meet company financial targets.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage to achieve challenging targets.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Extensive relationships within the E&P sector – executive level highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strategic, critical, and creative thinker with strong business sense.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional team environments.

The Director of Business Development is often required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. Their work environment is dynamic and diverse, often characterized by a combination of office-based tasks, field activities, and interactions with both internal colleagues, executive management, and clients.  They are often required to drive for business necessity; therefore, the Director of Business Development should be able to sit and drive for extended periods, minding driving laws and posted regulations.

When working indoors, they are often subjected to prolonged periods of sitting at a desk station, keyboarding, and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at a computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in-person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. When required to visit a well, the work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB, and inclement weather. Given these conditions, employees are required to wear company-mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Director of Business Development may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Director of Business Development must be able to lift 20 lbs. independently.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
