Job description

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Goodies HTX, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience while driving profitability, operational excellence, and team accountability. This leader will oversee all restaurant operations, including the kitchen, front of house, food truck operations, catering, inventory, staffing, training, and financial performance. The Director of Operations reports directly to the Founder & CEO and is responsible for building scalable systems as Goodies expands into multiple locations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and is responsible for ensuring operational consistency, financial discipline, and a winning company culture. Operations Leadership

  • Oversee all daily operations for the restaurant, food truck(s), and catering.
  • Ensure every shift operates according to Goodies' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain excellence in food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Solve operational issues before they impact guests.

Financial Performance

  • Manage labor costs and scheduling.
  • Control food costs and waste.
  • Review daily sales, labor percentages, food cost, and profitability.
  • Develop action plans to improve margins.
  • Hold department leaders accountable to financial goals.

People Leadership

  • Hire, train, develop, and coach management and hourly employees.
  • Conduct weekly leadership meetings.
