Role Overview

Gatekeeper Systems is seeking a highly strategic and analytical leader to drive the next phase of operational intelligence and subscription growth across our intelligent retail analytics platform.

The Director of Strategic Analytics will lead the intersection of business intelligence, theft analytics, operational insights, and strategic customer engagement. This role will work closely with enterprise retail customers and internal leadership teams to transform video classifications, theft event data, and operational analytics into measurable business outcomes and long-term subscription value.

This is not a traditional back-office analytics role. The ideal candidate combines strong business intelligence and analytical expertise with executive presence, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence operational decisions through data-driven insights.

This individual will play a key role in helping customers maximize value from Gatekeeperโ€™s solutions while supporting strategic subscription growth initiatives through analytics-driven customer engagement and operational intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Lead the companyโ€™s strategic analytics and business intelligence initiatives across customer, operational, and executive reporting environments.
  • Develop scalable dashboards, KPI frameworks, reporting automation, and data models that support operational visibility and customer-facing analytics.
  • Analyze large-scale video classification and theft event data to identify trends, operational gaps, risk patterns, and actionable business opportunities.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, consistency, security, and accessibility across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement of analytics infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and data visualization tools.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to enhance analytics architecture and accelerate delivery of actionable customer insights.
  • Leverage AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics capabilities to improve theft detection insights and operational intelligence.

Customer Engagement & Operational Insights

  • Work directly with enterprise retail customers to translate analytics into operational recommendations and measurable business outcomes.
  • Deliver executive-level business reviews, operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and strategic insights to customer leadership teams.
  • Help customers improve shrink reduction initiatives, operational execution, and adoption of Gatekeeper analytics solutions.
  • Support customer onboarding, go-live readiness, adoption planning, and long-term operational optimization initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with Asset Protection, Retail Operations, and Executive Leadership teams within customer organizations.

Subscription Growth & Strategic Impact

  • Support subscription growth initiatives by identifying opportunities for increased platform adoption, analytics utilization, and operational expansion.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership teams to support strategic account growth and long-term customer retention.
  • Identify operational challenges and business opportunities that can drive additional customer value and recurring revenue expansion.
  • Influence product roadmap discussions through customer feedback, operational findings, and market insights.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate across Operations, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, retail operations, SaaS, operational strategy, consulting, or enterprise customer-facing leadership roles.
