Director, Enterprise Applications (Marketing)

The Director, Enterprise Applications (Marketing) is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, optimization, and support of enterprise applications that enable global Marketing organizations. This role partners closely with Marketing leadership, Marketing Operations, Finance, IT, Data & Analytics, and external vendors to define and execute a technology roadmap that improves marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute the enterprise applications strategy supporting Marketing's business objectives and growth priorities.
    • Partner with Marketing executives to understand business needs and translate them into technology capabilities and roadmap investments.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to Marketing leadership on technology trends, MarTech innovation, AI opportunities, process optimization, and digital transformation.
    • Establish governance models for application investments, prioritization, architecture, and platform lifecycle management.
  • Marketing Technology & Applications
    • Own the portfolio of Marketing applications, including Marketing Automation Platforms, Customer Data Platforms, Digital Experience Platforms, Event and Webinar Platforms, Content Management Systems, Lead Management and Attribution Solutions, Marketing Analytics and Reporting Tools, and AI-powered Marketing Solutions.
    • Drive platform rationalization, adoption, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance marketing effectiveness and operational scalability.
  • Business Process Transformation
    • Lead the design and optimization of end-to-end marketing business processes, including Campaign Planning and Execution, Lead Lifecycle Management, Demand Generation, Digital Marketing Operations, Customer Journey Orchestration, Marketing Attribution, Budget and Investment Tracking, Event Management, and Content Operations.
    • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process simplification.
    • Ensure alignment between marketing processes and broader Revenue Operations workflows.
  • Delivery & Program Leadership
    • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation and adoption.
    • Manage application delivery teams, product owners, business analysts, architects, and external partners.
    • Establish scalable project and product management practices.
    • Ensure successful delivery of roadmap commitments within scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Architecture, Integration & Governance
    • Ensure seamless integration across Marketing, CRM, ERP, Data Warehouse, Customer Success, and Digital Experience ecosystems.
    • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to maintain scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
    • Establish governance for application security, data privacy, compliance, and operational controls.
    • Drive platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Vendor & Financial Management
    • Manage relationships with strategic technology vendors and system integrators.
    • Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and service engagements.
    • Own application budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
    • Track ROI and business value realization from technology investments.
  • People Leadership
    • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of application leaders and professionals.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
    • Develop organizational capabilities in product management, process excellence, and digital transformation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, or Digital Transformation roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • Deep expertise supporting Marketing organizations and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Experience leading implementations and optimization efforts involving platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, or comparable technologies.
  • Strong understanding of marketing operations, lead management, campaign execution, customer journeys, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing enterprise integrations, data architecture, and cross-functional business processes.
  • Proven track record delivering strategic programs and business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled marketing platforms and emerging MarTech trends.
  • Experience with Agile product delivery methodologies.
  • Salesforce, Adobe, Marketo, or related platform certifications.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $154,000 - $204,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and other benefits.
