Title: Director of Operations, Softball
Position Summary:
Duke University is accepting applications for the position of Director of Softball Operations. Duke University is a NCAA Division I Institution and a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
This position will support the softball program at Duke University with both and off field activities. On field interaction and activities are preferred, and encouraged, while also not being required. Off field activities include and are not limited to: assisting with administrative duties, coordination and execution of team travel and team operations, while effectively serving the Department of Athletics. This position will include roles and responsibilities that will help effectively manage the day-to-day operations of a Division I softball program, in accordance with NCAA, ACC and Duke University policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:
• Proactively plan and communicate operational needs with coaches, support staff, and campus partners to ensure successful execution of events and daily operations.
• The candidate must possess the necessary knowledge and experience of office administrative tasks,
• Coordinate and execute travel as well as team meals,
• Assist with video operations and film review at practices and games,
• Managing the program's calendar and written communication,
• Assist with compliance responsibilities,
• Manage and oversee camps and clinics coordination,
• Assist with scheduled work and collaboration with the External Operational units, specifically Ticketing, Game Day Operations, and Marketing
• Coordinate and collaborate community engagement, marketing, and advertising efforts,
• Assist with the planning and coordination of special events, including recruiting arrangements,
• This is a position that requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and/or previous collegiate softball or baseball playing or coaching experience is preferred,
• Experience mediums such as: ARMS and Teamworks, Zoom, Microsoft Outlook, Google Sheets and Google Docs, Ryzer, Tagging Trackman, AWRE, Synergy, TruMedia, Motor Preference, etc.
• Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage young women,
• Effective written and verbal communication,
• Knowledge of NCAA Softball rules,
• Strong usage of Canva, Photoshop, Publisher or equivalent for graphic design,
• Knowledge and/or experience working with Trackman, AWRE, and additional in stadium technology,
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for attention to detail,
• Thrives and demonstrates flexibility in a dynamic, face paced environment,
• Lifelong learner, open minded to new ideas, while also continuously seeks new ways to improve your craft.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $20.00 to USD $24.00.
