Description
Division of Application and Development Support (DADS) is responsible for the implementation, development,testing and maintenance of multiple complex systems that support the Commonwealth, some of these systems arebuilt and maintained in house, others are vendor contracted with our group providing IT oversight for systemsthat support the Medicaid Enterprise Solution. All projects and programs we are involved with have assignedProject Managers (PMs) who are engaged from initiation through to maintenance and operations of our processesand systems.
Additionally, we have an internal testing team that oversees the complete testing lifecycle of many of thesesystems. Our staff provide technical oversight to multiple agencies across the commonwealth and securitycompliance for all in-house and vendor-supported systems. Positions within this division include but are notlimited to: Administrative, Architect, Security, Developer, Scrum Master, Project Manager, Business Analyst,Tester, Branch Manager, Supervisor and supportive staff roles. DADS currently has 72 staff members with atotal of 628 years with the commonwealth which equates to an average per person of 8.7 years demonstrating thelongevity of our dedicated group.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Direct the activities of the Division of Application Development and Support (DADS) within the Office ofTechnology Services.
  • Responsible for management of all personnel, fiscal, policy and procedures within the Division.
  • Provide general direction for managers within the division.
  • Plan, monitor and approve expenditures of fund allocated to the division.
  • Oversee the development and review major projects plans for technology initiatives.
  • Develop and implement technology policy with the Cabinet.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
