This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

You will have the chance to work with frontier language models, coding agents, and other AI coding tools to deliver traditional and agentic solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.
The Generative AI Innovation team is transforming the way Litera and its clients leverage their data for competitive advantage. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will lead one or more teams comprised primarily, if not exclusively, of coding agents to design and develop GenAI features and agents for both our market products and internal processes. You will function as a company GenAI evangelist, helping Litera to fully leverage the ever-expanding capabilities of coding assistant and coding agent tools. This is your chance to be a key member of a highly skilled, visible, and pioneering team with a market leading company looking to leverage the newest development technologies.
What You'll Deliver
  • Act as the governing lead for one or more teams of virtual developers using Cognition AI's Devin (or similar toolsets).
  • Collaborate with Litera development teams to design innovative GenAI-based products and features using tools like Cline, Replit, and Cursor.
  • Research, evaluate, and document new technologies, dev agents, and similar tools as they appear on the market..
  • Socialize recent technologies throughout the Engineering department.
  • Function as an evangelist for leveraging GenAI to responsibly benefit the company and our clients.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that is extensible with minimum number of defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Engineering and Product Management to complete tasks.
  • Manage individual task priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of software and security best practices (i.e., object-oriented design patterns, OWASP Top 10, SOLID design principles).
  • Produce documentation and evaluation of new technologies and their potential value for Litera.
  • Communicate with other groups in the organization to evaluate the possibility of leveraging GenAI to address current process challenges and inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design and develop robust features and products using GenAI and other modern technologies.
  • Translate product and feature ideas into technical designs and development tasks.
  • Conduct sessions and webinars to disseminate knowledge throughout the Engineering department.
  • Define new opportunities for leveraging GenAI to improve Litera products and organizational processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
Must Haves:
  • 2+ years of experience with NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Web/REST APIs
  • 2+ years experience with React / Vue / Angular / Svelte, Typescript
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL Azure (preferred) or SQL Server, PostgreSQL (preferred), Unit testing frameworks (i.e., Unknit, MSTest)
  • Experience with GitHub and Microsoft Visual Studio Code (preferred) or Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Education in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or related experience)
  • Strong visioning, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable speaking to different levels in the organization - from peers to directors to the CTO - the role has high visibility and plays a part in the strategic growth of the team

Pay Transparency for Colorado Applicants
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $170,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
